1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the packing, moving, and transportation services ("Services") provided by DHL Trans Delivery Cargo Packers and Movers ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"). By engaging our Services, you ("Customer", "you", or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms.
Our Services include but are not limited to packing, loading, transportation, unloading, unpacking, and storage of household goods, office equipment, and personal belongings.
2. Services Description
We provide professional packing and moving services for both domestic and commercial relocations. Our Services include:
- Professional packing of household and office items
- Loading and unloading of goods
- Transportation via our specialized moving vehicles
- Temporary storage solutions
- Unpacking and rearrangement services
- Vehicle transportation services
Note: Services may vary based on the specific package selected by the Customer and are subject to availability in your location.
3. Customer Responsibilities
As a Customer, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information regarding the items to be moved
- Ensure that all items are properly prepared for moving
- Be present during the packing and loading process
- Secure necessary permissions for parking and access
- Remove all prohibited items before our arrival
- Ensure pets and children are secured during moving operations
- Provide safe working conditions for our staff
4. Quotations and Pricing
All quotations provided by the Company are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Quotations are based on:
- The information provided by the Customer
- The volume and nature of items to be moved
- Distance of transportation
- Accessibility of both origin and destination locations
- Any additional services requested
The final price may be subject to change if there are material differences between the actual Services required and the information provided at the time of quotation.
5. Payment Terms
Payment for our Services is due as follows:
- A 20% deposit is required to confirm your booking
- The remaining balance is due upon completion of Services
- We accept payment via cash, bank transfer, or online payment methods
Delayed payments may incur interest charges of 1.5% per month on the outstanding balance. The Company reserves the right to withhold delivery of goods until full payment is received.
6. Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made in writing at least 48 hours before the scheduled moving date to receive a full refund of your deposit. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled moving date will result in forfeiture of the deposit.
If the Company needs to cancel your booking due to unforeseen circumstances, we will provide as much notice as possible and offer to reschedule or provide a full refund.
7. Liability and Insurance
We exercise the utmost care in handling your belongings. However, we recommend purchasing additional insurance coverage for valuable items.
- Basic coverage is included at no extra charge (₹50 per kg)
- Enhanced coverage options are available upon request
- Claims must be submitted in writing within 7 days of delivery
- Original purchase receipts may be required for high-value items
The Company is not liable for damage caused by improper packing by the Customer, inherent vice, or Acts of God.
8. Prohibited Items
For safety and legal reasons, we cannot transport the following items:
- Flammable or hazardous materials
- Perishable food items
- Live plants and animals
- Cash, securities, and valuable documents
- Firearms and ammunition
- Illegal substances or materials
If such items are found during packing, we reserve the right to refuse transportation of these items without liability.
9. Force Majeure
The Company shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Natural disasters
- Government actions
- Labor disputes
- Transportation delays
- War or civil unrest
- Pandemics or health emergencies
In such events, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you and resume performance as soon as practicable.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bangalore, Karnataka.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. The updated Terms will be posted on our website with a revised effective date. Continued use of our Services after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
